YouTube Kids is already made specifically for children. So why would you need Mitti-GO?

It's a fair question. The difference isn't that one app is "safe" and the other isn't. The difference is, above all, in how content gets chosen.

How does YouTube Kids work?

YouTube Kids is a separate kids' version of YouTube with far fewer videos and channels available.

YouTube Kids picks suitable content → the child watches it → the parent blocks individual videos or channels if needed.

And how does Mitti-GO work?

With Mitti-GO we decided to go the other way.

But YouTube Kids also lets you pick content by hand

Yes — and that's worth pointing out.

YouTube Kids has an "Approved content only" mode. In it, parents can manually allow specific videos, channels and collections. Search is turned off for the child in this mode.

So the idea of a parent-made whitelist isn't unique in itself.

The difference is that for Mitti-GO this approach is the foundation of the app, not an extra mode.

What about Shorts?

We believe the decision about short videos should also be the parent's. That's why Shorts are off by default in Mitti-GO.

This is exactly what we want to make the core principle of Mitti-GO.

A child opens the app and sees a familiar space:
